UW-Madison Not Concerned About Animals' Pain

For a UW-Madison scientist to conduct any experiment with an animal, he or she must submit a 35-question animal care and use protocol application to one of the University's Animal Care and Use Committees (ACUCs). The protocol must describe specifically what the animals will experience, and what steps will be taken to minimize pain or distress.” Public Does Know About Experiments.
