This is one of these moments where I now know what it means to be a voice for the voiceless. But in truth Chimpanzees were never voiceless, they were ignored. People assumed that because they did not speak verbally that there were no significance to their suffering. Chimpanzees have remarkable memories and many could actually do sign language. But because they did not look like humans no one paid attention to what they were trying to tell us. They lost decades of their lives locked up in cages never feeling grass under their feet, or sunshine on their face. We owe it to them to help them live out the rest of their lives in sanctuaries where they can take their first steps to a new life. For those who feel they would be better off dead than in a sanctuary, how can you turn your back on them now? After all the suffering they have gone thru for humans we owe it to them to give the last of their years respect, love and most important an APOLOGY. Thank you NIH, Researchers, Scientists, and the Pharmaceutical Companies, PCRM, Jane Goodall providing viable proof and information as to why they should no longer be used for research.

Sincerely
Mimi
